PRESIDENT Band Unmasked…?
President are the latest masked band to enter our remits, and fans have been trying to guess from the get-go who the frontman is. Are we any closer to finding out who the mystery masked singer is, or have we been infiltrated by a red herring?

After much deliberation, the band decided to unmask themselves in their latest music video for their song “Fearless”.
On the evening of the 5th June 2025, the band finished the video by taking off the mask of their frontman, showing a possibly unexpected face.
Many fans have been speculating that the masked singer is in fact Charlie Simpson, member of Busted and Fightstar, stating the vocals are an exact match. This speculation could have also come off the back of his 2023 performance on The Masked Singer UK, where Simpson performed in a rhino costume. Other fans have posted that they think it’s Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour.
However, the reveal in their “Fearless” music video shows another face under the rubber.

So…is this the true face underneath President, or an added layer of illusion? In our opinion, we reckon it’s a suspense-building activity, and the real face of the band remains unknown. A red herring. But, to be honest, we think that’s just fine.
There are many reasons why bands decide to cover their faces, and take on alter egos. It can be an art form, or a way to build narrative around their bands, or it can be to protect their privacy. If we look at Sleep Token, who are also signed by Future History Management, there’s already a cry for help within that fan base, and is something that has been addressed in their latest album “Even in Arcadia”.
Whether we have Charlie Simpson under there, or another talented musician, we’re just happy that there’s another interesting, dynamic band that have sprouted to bring us more great music - and we cannot wait to see what comes next.
President are playing Download Festival later this year, and debuting a sold out headline show in July.
